A party AFTER dinner is pretty ambitious. Will there be time for a nap before you head to the party? I'd require one if I was expected to go until past midnight. Dang, you're doing the big time fancy thang, too. That's going to be quite the event. I'd love to see a photo. I don't make Yorkshire Pudding. I know that's a pretty traditional add with prime rib but we'll get by with our usual sides. When I do cream puffs I rely on my tried and true Betty Crocker recipe which has a very nice cream filling.

We will absolutely be watching the game tomorrow night. There will likely be a tape delay as the game will start about the time I'd really like to do dinner. We'll record the game and catch up in progress. I'm cooking a prime rib for dinner and will enlist little Ashley's assistance in making cream puffs for dessert. She's about five now so it will be lots of fun. What are you cooking to bring to dinner? The parade and dog show should be good fun too.

Hey! John and I got up at the crack of dawn (7:30) to get to Whole Foods to get food to heat up (I DON'T cook) for T-Giving. We had to go early because Whole Foods turns into a madhouse this week. The cashier looked exhausted and said the rest of the day was going to be worse and worse. Anyway, we had SNOW last night and it has been around 14 degrees at night, so the streets were pretty icy. I HAVEN'T been walking but will respond to your coaching by going out in a few mins, after getting very warm clothes on. I hope your T-giving is wonderful...glad you are going to host again after this time recovering. Hugs from us!

I didn't think they had much of a chance last night but they played a very good game. Talk about a happy club. They sure partied last night.

Two cat night! Good one! We had a brief cold-and-snow spell...the Wiggle joined me in bed, pretending that it was me and not my body warmth she was after...we got a reasonable snow (couple of inches) and then the sun came out again. How's San Antone? I have fallen down on my walking. I mean I haven't been walking, not that I fell down while walking. Today! I need some coaching...

I can see that changing schools would make that transition much easier. I like working with the kids. It's fun to figure out just what it takes to motivate them. Usually a bit of silliness from an adult rejoicing in their success is enough to get them craving more. It's easier to make things fun one on one or in small groups. The fact that I really don't have to be a disciplinarian at all helps, too. Parental involvement is more hit and miss out here. There are those who enjoy it and embrace it and others that feel like their work is done when they drop them off in the morning. It's too bad. I think if parents devoted even half an hour to working with their kids at night it could make a huge difference. I've always encouraged my kids to use commercial breaks when they're watching TV to use flash cards for their multiplication tables. They call them math facts now. Everything we do in fourth grade builds on multiplication. If you're trying to teach them how to calculate the area of a rectangle and they're still trying to work out what 6x8 is it really slows things down. Just using commercial breaks each night would really help. I've even had a couple tell me they do it...not sure I believe them but I keep trying. ;^)

Thanks...I think they look for Monday themed LOLs to feature to start the week. I'd hate to think that San Antonio was being used purely as a pawn to motivate other cities to give better deals to the Raiders. The girls will be every bit as capable as the boys and they'll be even more fun to work with. That added bit of maturity you get from the young ladies makes things run more smoothly. Wow...you skipped fourth...good for you. Fractions and geometry are about as far as we get in the core curriculum. Algebra isn't usually part of that but for the last few years we've challenged the smartest kids with an intro to algebra. I got algebra starting in 6th as a part of a smaller group to challenge us. What a drag that you lost a vintage rose this year. I've lost two of the eight rose trees that line one section of fence. I think the roots from a tree next door have taken them out. I haven't replaced them either.

I read this yesterday. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/11/16/national-football-league-los-angeles-chargers-raiders-rams/19126113/ Congrats on getting four more kittehs furrebber homes. That always makes me smile. Do you have vulnerable plants outside that need special care or are the pipes your only concern? I was with my kids this morning and I got to work with the swifties teaching them algebra. This was just the smart guys today. I'll get the smarter young ladies next time.

Thanks. It doesn't get that cold here (53 last night) but you'd figure that's cold enough to use one of the floofy sleep locations set aside for him.
