For me, silence can be a veritable encyclopedia! Knowing what I know, I'm SO glad you found us AND that you're able to have a computer there. I can remember one lady at one of the facilities I worked in had a complete desktop set up in her room, but she never had internet access while I was there. (I worked at that place for about 8 years, too.) I think they ought to have a wi-fi system available for those who can use a computer. Heck, they ought to have a small computer lab in some of the places. Especially now that there are so many living in facilities who could use them! You have a great day! {{{HUGZ}}}

I heard it on the radio a few years ago and laughed so hard I went into a coughing fit, swallowed my chewing gum and almost choked on it. lol I think I'll call it a night. LoLspeak takes some getting used to. The eh on kitteh is pronounced the same way as we Canadians say "eh?" It is not quite as long a as "say" but it is more pronounced than schwah. Ai is pronounced "I" and so therefore "mai" is my. I try to only mis-spell in ways that people will still understand what I've written. Does this help?

whoa cool- i'd be so cool if the video was still around. are you a big beatles fan? well my story about john is that my dad's friend's maid was friends with yoko, so once, john and yoko came to my dad's friends house and my dad was on the phone with the friend, and the friend was like "hey you want to talk to john lennon?" but my dad was like- sorry cant right now.....my dad is so weird....

Ohai, myroom! You're welcome to have the extras that I have as long as there are no other cheezbuddies who need them because they have none (except tulips for Winnie Wonka). Are you collecting extras to see how many you can pile up? In your profile you say that you are a retired proofreader which makes the LoLspeak a challenge for you. I have to laugh about that. When I was learning to read and write school systems had hit on the idea of teaching using phonics - which is both good and bad. I can pretty well sound out any word I am reading but my spelling skills are fairly poor. After a time of using LoLspeak my spelling is rEELy bad. {hugzes}

You're so welcome, Phyllis! I wish I had an extra turkey to give ya, but they were hard to come by. I'll do a little hunting around and see if I can find one. Yep, the mood around here has been sad lately. This is my "happy place" and lately I've had to get off when the sad overwhelms me and come back later. It's all the love everyone has for one another that keeps me coming back....

You truly missed a lovely pair of ladies. I wasn't as close to Rhokit as I was to Gwyn, but love her a lot all the same. I'd LOVE to come sort out your facility. I don't think some on staff would like me very much before I finished, but I never worried about what my staff thought of me. My main concern was & always would be the residents' happiness & welfare. I've been in some sad facilities in my day. Thankfully, I was able to do my part to help them change for the better.......hope you have a great day!

Always know that no matter what you will get through this terrible sadness and depression. You are not alone and we all care about you. When you need to talk I am here because I too have problems with depression so I understand you. Talking to others really helps bunches!! ((((HUGS)))))

Ohai, Phyllis! I saw a message from one of my cheezbuddies to you on my dashboard and so I looked at your profile. I had a friend with Parkinson's. Hers was diagnosed when she was in her 40s. When I met her she was 60. She died from cancer 6 years ago. I learned so much about living life to its fullest from her and not letting adversity hamper one's plans. I'm pleased you accepted my friend request. I don't enough time to spend really getting to know my cheezbuddies. I don't always have time for messages back and forth. But I think all of us can get to know what is in our hearts from the types of LoLs we make and the types we fave. I hope you enjoy the times when you and I will have the chance to communicate. Ohai new cheezfrend! I'm pleased to meet you as well! I have been helping out a friend who is waiting to have knee replacement after a serious infection. She ran out of days her insurance would pay for skilled nursing. She is struggling along staying at the home of a friend. It isn't perfect and makes me angry that insurance would kick a very ill person out of the nursing home. Thanks for favoriting some of my lols. We are so very sad to lose one of our good friends here. Funny how much you can grow to love people you only know from chatting. Hope to visit with you from time to time.

Honey, you are so welcome for the teddy bear! I'm going to try to get you as many of the retired collectibles as I can; the Dr. Tinycat ones will be the toughest, and that dang Thanksgiving turkey...! If you've been reading your dashboard you may have learned that we lost a good good cheezpal Friday night. Mamagwyn was one of the best and had seemed to be improving so we're all stunned. Makes us want to share the love with those we care about - and guess what, darling, you're now on my list. *hugs*

I've seen your name around & read your profile ~ LOVE your sense of humor! It's a shame you can't have a cat at your nursing home. I've worked in several that would allow residents to have their own or had a Facility Kitteh or three......In one facility (I was the night supervisor in 3 over the years) we had a lady who had a big tabby they walked on a leash every evening. Everybody loved him & he was king of the place. I'm here several times a day, I'm doing private duty now, so I'm off every weekend. Welcome to my corner of Cheezland!
