All The Best Weeknd Memes From Super Bowl LV

Super Bowl LV was a bit of a doozy. Sure, Tom Brady proved that he's an immortal android, and that he's effectively turned the Buccaneers into Patriots 2: Electric Boogaloo. But the game was boring as hell. The Kansas City Chiefs lost to Tampa Bay in a bit of a blowout. The score, 9-31, was an embarrassing show for the Chiefs, who were defending last year's title.

While we're sure that West Floridians were a bit more excited than other sports fans, Twitter made the most of the evening by meme-ing the very glitzy halftime show. The night's performer was The Weeknd, a Canadian pop star who got his start with dark bedroom-y R&B and rap. He's since become a huge pop star, working with huge acts such as Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, and the very meme-able Drake.

Unfortunately for the Weeknd, who put 7 million dollars of his own money into the halftime show, people haven't really been talking about his music. Instead, at least on Twitter, people are focusing on the jumpy funhouse-esque segment of his set. During this part of the performance, The Weeknd (also known as Abel Tesfaye) wanders around the brightly lit tunnels in a daze, as if he's desperately searching for a way out. Clips of this bit hit Twitter very quickly, and jokesters almost immediately got to meme-ing. Most of the memes are pretty damn relatable, focusing on situations such as looking for ones barfing cat, or looking for your mom in the grocery store as a child. The intense relatability has made many of these memes go viral. We've gone through them and picked out the best, so you can enjoy 'em all at once.

Kansas City Chiefs' Derrick Nnadi Collaboration With Animal Shelter Results In All Dogs Being Adopted

Last week, Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl and their defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi, celebrated by paying over 100 adoption fees at the KC Pet Project Animal Shelter.

It is now officially confirmed at EVERY dog that the KC Pet Project has been adopted!

But there are still plenty more places to adopt from and new pups coming in all the time.

KC Pet Project shared an image of the empty kennels that were once filled with pups, along with this heartwarming message:

"The best sight we love to see. Because of Derrick Nnadi's generous sponsorship, our Petco Adoption Center has no more dogs to adopt. Every kennel is empty tonight - how wonderful! We still have a few sponsored dogs at our Zona Rosa Adoption Center, Campus, and in foster homes, and you can see them all at www.kcpetproject.org, along with new adoptables. Yay for so many lives saved!"

Thank you, Derrick Nnadi and KC Pet Project for the awesome collaboration. And a heartfelt thank you to all those who adopted!

You guys are the everyday heroes!

Kansas City Chiefs' Derrick Nnadi Covers Over 100 Adoption Fees

With great power comes great responsibility!

And one man used that power in an amazing way this past Sunday! Derrick Nnadi, the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, has celebrated his Super Bowl win by covering adoption fees for more than 100 dogs at the KC Pet Project animal shelter in Kansas City, Missouri.

How amazing is that?!

Adoption fees usually run about $150, per dog. And apparently, Nnadi had been paying off adoption fees all season long! Each time the Chiefs would win a game, he would pay another dog's adoption fee through the Derrick Nnadi Foundation.

The fee waiver will cover the cost of any dog that became available for adoption before February 2.

Why spend that money on adoption fees? Well, Nnadi told CNN that he wasn't allowed any pets growing up. During his senior year of college, he decided to get a dog named Rocky and they created an instant bond.

Nnadi said, "When I first got him, he was very timid. It made me think of how other animals, whether they're owned or in a shelter, are feeling scared and alone."

KC Pet Project chief communications officer, Tori Fugate, told CNN that Nnadi's donation had been"incredible."

"More than 100 available dogs in our care will have their adoption fees sponsored starting today," Fugate said of Nnadi's donation.

Its adoptable animals can be found here

Way to go, Derrick Nnadi! If anyone wasn't a fan before --they will be now!

Conservative Mom Mocked Over Tweet About Super Bowl Halftime Show

Last night's Super Bowl LIV halftime show featuring J. Lo and Shakira- both Latin pop stars who are over forty - was undoubtedly spicy. So spicy that the energetic, and skilled performances weren't loved by everyone. Amidst the memes of Shakira's zaghrouta and Baby Nut, there were some conservative Super Bowl viewers expressing their contempt for the sexy show. Twitter user @egreenmommy falls into this category. The conservative Christian mother of three likened the Miami halftime show to pornography. And people were very quick to try to set her straight in a multitude of sassy and incredulous tweets.
