17 Marvel Memes In Defense Of Thanos

Marvel-themed subreddit r/thanosdidnothingwrongmade headlines this week after announcing it will ban half its members as a tribute to the villain from Titan. The group, which takes its name from the saying "Hitler did nothing wrong" shares the belief that killing half of the universe is actually a great idea. While the subreddit should theoretically deal in philosophy, its members spend most of their time dealing in Thanos memes. Here are some of our favorites.

Funny memes that claim thanos did nothing wrong.

This movie, built with data collected during the European Space Agency's Huygens probe on Jan. 14, 2005, shows the operation of the Descent Imager/Spectral Radiometer camera during its descent and after touchdown. The almost four-hour-long operation of the camera is shown in less than five minutes. That's 40 times the actual speed up to landing and 100 times the actual speed thereafter.

After seven years in development, project Titan has been canceled, Polygon confirms. Blizzard's CEO told Polygon, "We didn't find the fun,we didn't find the passion. We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that's the game we really wanted to be making. The answer is no."

It sounds like Titan rose out of a desire to recreate the success of WoW and it just wasn't happening. Blizzard doesn't want to be identified as "the MMORPG company," and though they "wouldn't say no to ever doing an MMO again... that's not where we want to be spending our time."

Are you sad to see Titan go? Were you looking forward to the MMO? Did you even know it existed?

The hint comes in the form of a ratio. All elements have a certain number of known isotopes — variants of that element with the same number of protons that differ in their number of neutrons. The ratio of one isotope to another isotope is a crucial diagnostic tool.

In planetary atmospheres and surface materials, the amount of one isotope relative to another isotope is closely tied to the conditions under which materials form. Any change in the ratio will allow scientists to deduce an age for that material...

"When we looked closely at how this ratio could evolve with time, we found that it was impossible for it to change significantly," Mandt said in a press release. "Titan's atmosphere contains so much nitrogen that no process can significantly modify this tracer even given more than four billion years of Solar System history."
