The most striking trait of a sphynx cat is its lack of a fur coat. But some sphynx cats actually do grow a bit of fuzz, and it's absolutely adorable. Firstly, we're gonna go through a few kitty facts, specifically about this breed. This cat actually originated from Canada, which sounds weird, because… well, Canada is cold, duh. And the go-to sphynx doesn't have a lot of hair. But this cat has been defying expectations since a Canadian kitty from Ontario gave birth to a hairless kitten (the result of a natural genetic mutation).
Now, despite rumors, the sphynx is not in fact, hypoallergenic. So don't go paying big bucks if you're allergic. Lastly, the sphynx cats are one of the friendliest breeds out there!
