43-year-old dad Nigel Robinson of the Hull, England, was banned from spending time alone with his 8-year-old daughter last November after he alerted police that he had been attempting to pirate music but found pornographic images of children instead.
The four-month ban, which often forced Robinson's daughter to stay with her grandmother when her mom worked late, has finally been lifted, according to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
"My heart skipped a beat, the relief was unreal, I felt absolutely brilliant. It is such excellent news," Robinson told the Hull Daily Mail after hearing that the police had found no incriminating evidence on his computer.
Robinson's laptop, which police initially said could be confiscated for as long as a year, will be returned later this week after police "cleanse" it of the disturbing images.
As for his failed attempt at music piracy, no charges have been filed.
