Date nights can easily get ruined if everyone and their mom seemed to have the same idea as you. The worst is when you go to the movies and they're all sold out of tickets to the movie you want to see. Luckily, for TikToker Crystal Knorpp Kent, the theater not only had enough tickets, there was nobody there!
Kent and her husband decided to have a cute little movie date to themselves. When they got to the theater there was nobody at the counter to purchase tickets. They waited for a little bit and then saw a kiosk where you can buy them on your own. They tried to us that, but it wasn't working. So they were really confused now. They waited a little longer, but didn't want to miss the movie. So they just helped themselves in.
Once inside they looked around and there was not a single soul there. Nobody at the concession stand, in the actual theater part—nothing. Nowadays everything is digital, so there wasn't even a person needed to start the movie since they're all on a timer now. So they laid back, had the theater to themselves and even helped themselves to a second free movie.
“Guess they decided the $7 they’d get for a ticket isn’t worth whatever they’d have to pay their employees?”
Crystal says that when they were leaving they finally saw someone by the popcorn, but never exchanged so much as a glance together. It's like they experience a glitch in the Matrix and got a stellar date night out to themselves out of it.
TikTokers are jealous of the experience, but also suspicious. What does this mean?? Is the end near? One viewer commented saying she knows the manager just quit because it was her son. She says he is getting married and deployed to Alaska, so he quit, and if he or the assistant manager aren't there, the place is usually empty. Apparently, the few other employees will simply clock in and then go off to do whatever because the theater tends to be empty and the upper management doesn't really care.
Though some people got rapture/end of the world or horror movie vibes, most viewers seemed to want to have a date night just like that.
