Dog Rescue in NC Recruits 2nd Graders to Help Market Their Adoptable Dogs: Beautiful Crappy Masterpieces are Born

Running a dog rescue is heroic work, but it's not easy. The struggle is strong with having enough room to house the dogs and having enough resources to care for them. Their best bet is always to either find people to foster the pups or, the best outcome, to find loving furever homes for the pups. But like I said, it's not easy. One of the most important jobs for rescues when trying to re-home dogs is to vet the potential puppy pawrents, and it's not a quick process. You gotta make sure the humans are ready for a loving companion that will forever change their lives. So many dogs end up sitting in rescues for way too long.

A rescue in North Carolina, Adoption First Rescue, has started getting creative with their marketing process to try and get as many as their dogs adopted as possible—they requested the artistry of 2nd graders to help them. Now, the pups and their corresponding 2nd-grader drawing is going viral on TikTok and helping get the faces of these adoptable dogs out there.

TikTokers absolutely LOVE this tactic and think it's a great idea for all rescues to do. It's not only helpful for the pups, but it's a beautiful learning experience in charity and animal rescue for the kids. Plus, the children can match the vibes of the dogs so perfectly that it's like it was meant to be!

One viewer said, “All the kids captured the dogs true beauty!!!” “please tell me the picture goes to the adopted family,” another commenter suggested and the rescue loves the idea. Plus, hundreds of comments flood the section simply saying they love this idea and hope all the pups get adopted.

Unfortunately, rescues in North Carolina are having an especially difficult time getting dogs adopted and they simply keep filling up with more pups. It's important that these dogs find a home as fast as possible or else they will be sent to the unspeakable… Many shelters in coastal cities in the U.S. that don't struggle as much with stray dogs will go all the way to North Carolina to bring dogs back to their shelters and get them adopted out there. It's a long and difficult road, but there will always be humans fighting for humankind's best friends.
