Feisty Three-Legged Barn Cat Swats at Wild Fox to Protect Her Chicken Friends' Eggs, Fox Scurries Away Scared

Cats are already known for unabashedly striking anyone who crosses them, it truly doesn't matter how many paws they have, they will getcha. TikToker @diomabyrne recently posted a video of their three-legged barn cat ready to gooooo.

Barn cats' usual duties on the farm tend to be mostly rodent control. They hunt pesky critters like rats, mice, moles, voles, etc. and it helps keep the animals feed from getting eaten up and helps prevent the spreading of disease, etc. So barn cats are usually known to be a little feistier than your classic indoor pet cat. They're ready to throw down when they gotta throw down. So when a wild fox wondered into the coop that this barn cat was watching, sh*t was about to go down.

Marley, the three-legged barn cat that this TikToker loves and cares for was curled up one night by one of her hen friend's egg. The security footage in the video show this tripod feline just laying right by it minding their own business. Then a fox starts to enter. Marley immediately gets in pouncing position. The fox is obviously hesitant by this intimidating looking kitty, but still tries to approach. Marley has no problem lunging at it and throwing those claws. And yes, I saw clawS even though they only have one paw of claws to throw, because you can see Marley still throwing that phantom limb at the fox and the fox is still flinching from it.

So even though that limb isn't there, it still somehow was able to help scare off a wild fox from eating that hen's egg.

“The cat doesn’t even want the egg—it just won’t let the fox have it”

Viewers are impressed with the kitty cat's brave actions towards the wild fox. The fox ran away eggless so it worked and never once did Marley seem like they were going to back down. This could've been a dangerous situation that ended differently, but even with only three legs, this feline was unafraid to stand up for her chickens. Viewers are also loving how the cat was still swatting with her phantom paw AND that the fox was flinching from it. It's as if the fox has caught the murder mittens of a cat before and can't help but be afraid, very afraid, when a cat lunges at them, even if that paw is missing.
