When millennials get nostalgic, Disney original movies ALWAYS come up. It was an essential part of the generation's childhood and, let's be honest, it helped form most of who the millennials are today. Miming tracing over the Disney Mickey ears is practically a secret handshake for millennials! I don't care how “cool” of a kid you were growing up in the ‘90s/’00s, you were very familiar with the Disney Original movies.

One of these epic Disney Originals was the classic holiday adventure Halloweentown. The film stared a rambunctious young woman who finds out she's actually a witch from another world called “Halloweentown.” She sneaks away to the town, but then gets thrust into saving it from an evil wizard named Kalabar. If you're a millennial, you know.

It was so popular, that Disney kept coming out with more and more of them. The second one, Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge was about the son of the evil wizard from the first film coming to the human world and taking his revenge. And then there were several other movies, bla bla bla—the first two are the most important.

ANWAYS, some exciting news in the world of millennial Halloweentown nostalgia just came to light this week, and it's that the actors who played the young witch Marnie Piper played by Kimberly J. Brown and Kal “Kalabar” played by Daniel Kountz JUST got engaged IRL.

“Have I introduced you to my fiancé?”

The couple met filming the second Halloweentown back in 2001, but didn't reconnect until 2016 when filming some sketches. They officially became a couple that year and have been openly dating since. Those who follow the actress who played Marnie, Kimberly J. Brown, on TikTok have been able to see this couple's relationship blossom in real time.

The relationship is not just adorable, bursting with love and many memories, but they both fully embrace their Halloweentown past and post about themselves reminiscing about that time. Seeing these sworn enemies in love and living their best life is truly what millennial's need right now with the current state of the world constantly beating us down.

Still Marnie

Halloweentown 20th Anniversary

Millennials are flooding to the comment section to voice their excitement. One person commented, "you just made a whole generations day with this." Another said, “every millennial everywhere is screaming right now.” And many are connecting the relationship to the movies with one person commenting a throwback to the film by shouting, “I HOPE HE HANDED YOU A SINGLE ROSE BEFORE HE PROPOSED.” Some are even posting that they are torn, because they're a cute couple, but Kal did try to destroy Marnie's two worlds and now they're each other's world?? Seriously though, we're getting the Hocus Pocus reboot, I think with this proposal it now calls for a Halloweentown reboot.
