Millennials are Pissed at Gen-Z on TikTok for Calling Girls Who Went to Warped Tour "Grandmas"

Damn, we gettin' old… Millennials are either already into their 30s or are dang close to it. We're right at that age where we truly start to feel kind of old. Everyone who is in their 30s already or older always say it's the best, you feel great, but it's still new territory for many millennials, so please be nice to us.

Gen-Z on TikTok don't give AF. Millennials are old to them and if you don't get their jokes, you're just old, bestie… Recently, Gen-Z TikToker @youwontfindloveatthegig put up a facetious post that is grade A+ comedy if you understand it. If you don't get it, however, then you are a millennial insecure about getting old. Sorry, it's just the truth. And I'm a millennial turning 30 this year, so… Yeah, I'm so sorry

Warped Tour Grandma:

The TikTok is a spoof off the “we are the granddaughters of the witches you didn't burn” post that made it's rounds around the Internet years ago. It's also a play on the unfortunate fact that male pop-punk musicians are known to pray on their underage fanbase and/or female musicians. One viewer explained it as the Warped Tour girls were so young, that when they had the kid the grandmother took over as mother and the Warped Tour girl acted as their “older sister.” It's dark humor, but it's spot-on nonetheless.

Even if you get the joke, however, it still kind of stings. Simply because Warped Tour girls only have, what? Like a decade more or less before they actually do start to become grandmothers. It's also entirely possible that if a Warper Tour girl from the original festival back in the early ‘90s had a baby, then their baby had a teen pregnancy, that the Warped Tour girl really could be a grandmother now… It’s just a reality a lot of Millennials don't want to face, and can you blame us? It's unfortunate that the joke is really whooshing over the heads of many Millennials in the comment section, but then again, they probably just turned 30 or are about too… They're sensitive…

You always think you're going to age gracefully and stay hip to the trends. You don't age with the intent of becoming your parents or grandparents or some jaded older person always taking sh*t on the younger generation. Many Millennials are trying their best not to be a jaded older person. But society makes it hard, man. And pinning the generations against each other doesn't help. Millennials are the generation who created memes and nihilistic humor. If you're gonna make fun of us, at least kill us in the end and end our misery.
