'Stranger Things' Fans Admire Steve Harrington as a Hardworking Single Mom and Award Him Best Mother of the Entire Show

If you're a Stranger Things fan and have watched at least the first and second season of the show, then you already know and can appreciate that Steve Harrington is the unofficial mother of the pre-teen children in the show. You have to admit, his character development basically out weighs anybody's in the show. I mean, he went from being the typical popular boy who bullies the “weirdos” of his school to growing into a empathetic understanding man who puts the needs of his loved ones before his own. It's beautiful 

And his hard work as a single mom has not gone unnoticed. Though fans from the beginning have always appreciated this about Steve Harrington's character, a scene that happens in the very last episode of the most recent season really solidified that for some. (SPOILER) The seen is when he is in the high school volunteering and he gives a look to his friend Robin, that was so utterly motherly it made fans go wild.

Now, fans on TikTok are posting all kinds of content showing their appreciation to Steve Harrington and his achievements as a single mother. He gets beat up season after season, and yet he always comes back to help his babies out. If it wasn't for Steve Harrington always on “babysitter” duty, the beloved main group of characters would most definitely not have survived this far.

Steve Harrington outshines the real mom on the show. Joyce would be a close second, but if we're being honest—she's not the one constantly with the kids. Maybe they are always on her mind, but it's Steve who does the actual physical work at keeping these kiddos safe. Fans are rooting for Steve now, and poor Jonathan might just have to step aside once again to give Steve the Hair Harrington his girl back… Just saying.
