Whether you like it or not, there is proper texting etiquette. You don't need to use periods or capital letters, nothing fancy like that. But you shouldn't send 8 messages in a row, especially unsolicited. No need for incessant amounts of emojis or lol's. The more succinct the better. It might seem complicated, but to every art, there is a technique. Lol. But seriously, not everyone understands how to text like a regular person and it really shows.

Reddit user u/publicdefacation asked women to share the cringiest text someone has ever sent them. It's really annoying how we have to deal with this kind of stuff. sometimes people think its okay for them to get angry and aggressive too when you don't answer, as if you owe them something. As if!

Isn't it nice to have someone check in with you? I feel especially fortunate when it's a toxic ex from five years prior. Even better if he sends you a message that implies he wants to marry you but instead he proposes to someone else. This is wrong for all kinds of reasons.
