Ahhhh the classic 'mansplainer'. 'Mainsplaining' is the explanation of something by a man, typically to a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing. Often times it is about subjects that they have no business speaking about in the first place, but of course, since they have a penis, this apparently makes them an expert in just about every subject. We teamed up with dating blog, The Single Society, to bring you a list of the WORST mansplaining experienced women have had in the dating world.
On a date with this guy who tried to explain to me that communism and socialism are pretty much the exact same thing. I have a master's in political science. They are not the same thing.
I was on a date with a guy and told him my sister had a baby last week and she just so happened to have a C-section. He tried to mansplain to me that having a C-section was taking the easy way out. I've also given birth twice.
I had recently taken a trip to the Galapagos Islands. I was talking about it on a date I went on and he claimed then were just above Antarctica, east of Argentina (they are west of Ecuador). Was literally JUST there and he is trying to tell me I didn't even know where on the Earth I was.
Had a man 'explain' to me that PMS wasn't really a thing and women just made it up as an excuse to act like bitches. He also said menstrual pain was psychosomatic and that childbirth didn't hurt nearly as much as getting kicked in the nuts. Wish I could have tested that theory.
I went on a first date with a guy who was a paramedic. He told me (a mom of 2) that giving birth was no different or painful than pooping.
A guy I went on a date with tried to tell me that women who were 'dramatic' about being groped or sexually assaulted were just looking for attention because getting your ass grabbed isn't a big deal.
I went out with a guy that was a pharmaceutical sales rep. He tried to tell me that IUDs were the best form of birth control because it was less painful and didn't cause mood swings.
Some guy I went out with tried to explain to me what CO2 emissions are. I am a sustainability engineer for an airline. He cited an article he had read trying to prove his knowledge was superior to mine. I wrote the fucking article.
Went out with a guy for the first time and started chatting about the ongoing 'Me Too' movement. He said women don't have any struggles in the workplace because he has never seen or experienced them. Also, men tend to be nicer to us because we have boobs, therefore, we don't actually have to deal with any repercussions due to our gender.
