  I went out with a guy I met on Hinge. I really liked him so I decided to do some digging. Then I found his wedding website from six months prior!

  I went on a date with a guy and he told me that he had to register as a sex offender because when he was 18 he had a relationship with a 16-year-old and her father was high up in the police department. I did some research and this was completely false. He actually had not one, but THREE cases he had been convicted of within the last five years (he was 34) and they were for sexual assault and battery. When I confronted him about it via text he told me he had a 'crazy ex-girlfriend.' Likely story.

  I Googled a guy's OK Cupid name and found him on Instagram. He was a total racist and had Confederate flags, Robert E. Lee t-shirts, and was standing in front of a banner claiming 'The South Will Rise Again." Unmatch.

  I met a girl on Tinder and we went out a few times. I decided to Google her and it turns out she was running a scam on people where she would show someone a friends house or apartment to potential renters, accept a rent payment, and a security deposit then when the renter showed up to move in she would be nowhere to be found and run disappear with their money.

  After a few dates with a guy I met on Match I started telling my friends about him. He said he was going on a work trip to China for two weeks. When my friends wanted to see a picture. I didn't have the Match app on my phone at this point and he didn't have Instagram. Long story short, a friend of a friend that was out with us that night figured out that she knew the guy. She then pulls up his new WIFE'S Instagram. THEY WERE ONE THEIR HONEYMOON. He was texting me the whole fucking time talking about all the meetings he was in.

  I dated a former school teacher who was somewhat vague about why she was no longer teach. I found her on a sex offender list. She had sex with one of her students.

  I started dating a girl who was a real estate agent. She would go into depth about what she did that day, what houses she was selling, etc. I just so happen to be in the market for a home and saw one that was listed by her company. I sent it to her and asked her to show it to me but she seemed uncomfortable. I thought maybe she didn't want to mix business and pleasure. When I reached out to the agency I mentioned her name. The guy said she quit that agency two years prior. I did some digging and it was a big lie. She had NO job and was actually a mother of two, but her children were taken away because she got a DUI and totaled the car with her kids in the back, amongst other things.

  I decided to Google a guy in my Uber on my way to meet him. I found out he had done time for murdering his infant daughter, but he was released when the charges were reduced to manslaughter. I told my Uber driver to turn around.

  I was on a second date with a guy I had taken a liking to. We both lived in suburbs on opposite sides of Denver, Colorado. We sat down at the bar and the bartender approached us and clearly knew my date. It immediately felt awkward and he wanted to leave after one drink. I ended up putting the drinks on my credit card and when I got home I had a Facebook message from the bartender. He basically told me that my guy basically ran a real estate investment scam and had gotten him and several other people to invest thousands of dollars only to find out it was a Ponzi scheme. He also attached an informative news article about it.
