Think about the reasons you apply sunscreen. We're sure preventing early aging and skin cancer is high on your list of reasons. Is trying not to look like races other than white another reason on your list? Yeah, we didn't think so. It seems hard for this to get misconstrued, but it somehow happened. In today's episode of the infamous "Am I the A$$hole?" subreddit, the original poster told fellow Redditors about how her friend accused her of being racist for applying sunscreen regularly. Apparently, the friend was convinced that OP put on sunscreen in order to prevent getting as tan as races that aren't white. Excuse me, what?! Confusion significantly intensified for us. What do y'all think? Is this is misunderstanding or is there an issue with putting sunscreen on? Is the friend overreacting and making a problem out of nothing? Scroll down for more context, and let us know what your opinion is here.
This question boggles my mind. Let's read on.
TBH, I aspire to be like OP and apply sunscreen this often.
