Women Disclose Feminine Things They Used To Pretend To Hate, But Now Embrace

It seems funny to think that a lot of girls used to feel uncomfortable or ashamed of doing 'girly' things. Even though there really shouldn't be things labeled as feminine or non-feminine, it has become increasingly clear throughout the generations that anything girls like somehow have to be lame, and therefore it's much 'cooler' if a girl is 'different' and likes more traditionally masculine things. Yep, both boys and girls get bullied for being feminine, isn't that fun? And people still think we have achieved full social equality.

It was a Reddit user u/lockdownhype who asked women to expose the traditionally feminine things they used to intentionally shun because of internalized misogyny, but now can finally confidently embrace. As someone who used to be a tom-boy solely so she wouldn't be 'like the rest of the girls,' well, I can relate.

Yes, pink is a huge one. When guys wear pink they get made fun of, but when girls were pink they get labeled as 'overly girly' or, god forbid, 'basic b*ches.' Why can't we just like things? Jeez. It's not like we give a crap what y'all are into.
