Can't pay attention? We feel you. In today's hyper-stimulating world of fast-paced content, news tickers, advertising affixed to every public surface, gamification and of course, memes, who can focus for more than a few minutes at a time anymore? Unless you live off the grid somewhere in the middle of nowhere, (doubtful, because how would you be reading this?) then your brain has probably adapted to taking in massive amounts of visual stimuli every day. Maybe it feels harder now to sit down and read a book than it did when you were a little kid. It doesn't mean you're dumb, it just means your brain has adapted to new ways of processing information. If you're trying to ease the mind a bit but can't commit to studying a new subject or watching a full-length movie, memes are the perfect little snack for your brain. Who knows, maybe these memes will be your gateway to finally reading Moby Dick. Baby steps.
