No matter how loved and how pampered, the life of a pet is not always easy. Things happen, just like with any other being, accidents are always a possibility. We've heard stories like these before- like the cat who woke up from anesthesia with brain damage, or the wild goat who had to go through brain surgery to survive after getting hurt, or Shadow - who we're going to talk about today.

MantisTobaggon49027 shared the story of this wonderful doggo on imgur, and we couldn't help but have our hearts melt. Shadow, unfortunately, had a spinal injury that resulted in immediate paralysis, and this poor pupper's journey of recovery is as painful as it is heartwarming.

We can imagine the fear everyone went through when this happened - Shadow and his owners, and we can only be thankful that you didn't abandon the little guy. We've heard too many stories of this happening, so we're so happy that this isn't one of them.

Again, we are just so thankful to you for investing your time and love and so much effort into taking care of this boy. We have never had a pet go through an injury that would take so long to take care of, but even those we healed quickly were difficult to go through. We hope this pooch continues to heal and live a wonderful life for a long, long time with you all.
