Tragic Story Comes to a Happy End When Heartbroken Black Goldendoodle Is Given a New Kitten to Rescue

The story all began when a scrawny little kitten fearlessly approached a one-year-old black Goldendoodle named Charli. Don't let the young age full you, Goldendoodles are a large breed and Charli was already big. Though still bursting with puppy energy, this dog and cat got along perfectly. It was obvious that this cat had chosen this dog to be her new mom, and Charli happily obliged. The human mama, TikToker @therobincrawley, was never a cat person, but didn't have the heart to separate them. After making sure she was a stray and not a lost cat and getting her checked out by the vet, the kitten was official part of the family and they named her Pheobe. 

Pheobe and Charli were inseparable, always playing and cuddling together. However, Pheobe was not destined to be with them for very long. Unfortunately, after only several days Pheobe crossed the rainbow bridge. The night before, Charli freaked out in the middle of the night, but Pheobe was fine. She even woke up in the morning and ate breakfast. However, Charli was still being weird around Pheobe, like very protective and nervous. Later that day, Pheobe took her last breath and left everyone heartbroken—especially Charli.

The entire family was heartbroken, but Charli was devastated. She moped around looking for Pheobe and was clearly mourning. Her human couldn't stand the sight of her puppy looking so upset, so asked around the neighborhood to find out if there were any kittens looking for a home. She would have never looked for a cat to join their family until Pheobe had entered their lives, so it's only right to think that Pheobe then brought Kai into their lives.

Though their time with Pheobe was too short, they now have Kai in their lives. Charli the doodle met Kai and it was also an instant connection. The two cuddle and love on one another, like her and Pheobe had once done. Though Charli's mom says she feels like she's still looking for Pheobe, this tragic story came to a happy ending when this “non-cat person” was given the love a stray cat and thus presented her down the path to rescue another kitten. Now this family is complete once again.
