Internet Stranger Goes A Little Too Far Restoring Photos Of Elderly Man’s Late Wife
In the lawless land of social media, it's easy to lose a little more faith in humanity every day. From the crazy takes to the unnecessary pile ons, most of us are left wondering if it is beyond us all to do something nice on the internet for once. As a result, many people were happy to see Stan and Hamoud begin to interact on Twitter.
After veteran Stan posted pictures of the photo frame holding photos of his late wife when he was blown up in the Second World War, Hamoud responded by colorizing the photographs for him. Apparently, though, he was not completely satisfied with Stan's gratefulness at his kind deed, as he offered some further photographs showcasing a gaudy "new look" for her with added makeup, long hair, and Facetuned facial features.
The garish edit had many people equally horrified and amused, as they pondered the reasoning behind going this unnecessary extra mile. While Hamoud's actions may have bordered on the insensitive, there's no doubting that his heart was probably in the right place. However, we have a bad enough plague of Instagram Face in the present without extending it to the past as well.
