You know, in our time writing for ICanHas, we have truly read some amazing stories about interspecies friendships. We have heard about the man who befriended the swan he saved and has been friends with it for 37 years. We have read about the amazing, loving friendship between a leopard and a Rottweiler. We hear about such stories all the times.

Animal love stories are a bit more rare than that, but they happen. But mixing the human world with the animal world in the romantic sense… apparently, that can happen to. Meet the zookeeper who has become a crane's new mate. Yes, you read that right. Yes, it's not sarcasm. It's real, and you are about to be amazed.

As far as love stories go… we actually wanted to read about this one. Like, love stories tend to be so cliché, boring and repetitive, but not this one. This one is so special, we legitimately didn't want to scroll by it. And we are so glad that we didn't. It's truly a love story for the ages.

Is it just us or do they look quite compatible? Really, even before reading this thread, we thought she found herself a good mate in this dude. He's the perfect height for her, he has a splash of color on his head with the hat the same way that she does with the red. Man, we are so glad they found each other.
