Vegan Girl Gets Served Real Burger, Ignites Important Educational Tumblr Thread

There's no denying the fact that it can be a tiresome process muddling through a customer service gig. There will be days when it feels like time itself is stumbling along with literal ankle weights on. It very well might feel like you're never going to have that opportunity to clock out. The thing about it is though, that it's still crucial to make good on customers' potentially "extra" orders. Sometimes those specialized orders are set up the way they are because the customer is living with a life-threatening food allergy. Or, in this case, you have a vegan girl who was served a real burger by an inconsiderate dad. If someone hasn't eaten meat in a while it can throw their whole system into a state of shock. Whether the real burger was served accidentally or as an unfortunate joke, the ensuing Tumblr thread got people fired up as they detailed the significant number of reasons why you never mess with someone's food when they ask for it prepared a certain way.

    Font - digest certain things, dietary needs and restrictions, religious beliefs requiring them to abstain from the consumption of certain foods and about a thousand other things. Some people are legitimately allergic to thd proteins in certain meats and can't even eat anything cooked in the same pan as X meat product/s. I'm vegan but couldn’t care less if others aren’t, not an overwhelming number of (not all, just alot, unfortunately) non vegans find things like this funny.

    Font - jhscdood Follow Quick reminder: Sometimes people say "I'm vegan" or "I'm vegetarian" because its easier/faster/ begets fewer annoying questions than the longer explanation. As an epidemiologist I can list a few of the more annoying longer explanations that no one wants to have to explain to every person who ever offers them food:
