Tumblr Thread: Rescuing A Scared And Sick Feral Kitten From Raccoons

What would you do if you were faced with an army of raccoons that were threatening a little kitten? You read that sentence right, we promise. A bunch of raccoons have, for some reason, decided to attack an itty bitty kitten, and majoras-skull-kid on tumblr heard a scream in the middle of the night, and suddenly, this person was fending off raccoons and trying to rescue this poor sick kitten. 

We can only admire them for what they have done, honestly. Not only for being so heroic, but also for going out of their way to help this little furball - to rescue this feral kitten, take it into their own home, nurse it back to health, take care of it, and - hopefully - to adopt it alongside their other three cats. This story is one of the most unique animal adoption stories we have ever heard, and we are so glad you shared it with the world.

    We can only imagine what this must have been like to go through. Hearing a scream in the middle of the night and being both brave enough and crazy enough to go check it out. Then, somehow managing to see a black kitten in the darkness, realizing that it was being attacked by raccoons of all things, and deciding to be a heckin' hero.

    Font - We've been calling him Woodley; he's about 9/10 weeks old with a really bad case of ringworm that's resulted in almost complete hair loss of his tail. He had his first round of vaccines and dewormer and is being treated for the ringworm and some intestinal parasites. He is an incredibly spicy foster baby.     Font - Anyway, he's getting boosters and his FELV (feline leukemia) test in a few weeks and will have been about a month into his ringworm treatment by then and hopefully can get him into a rescue group while still fostering him because we have a cat dad extraordinaire adult cat who LOVES foster kittens and teaches them the all important cat socialization, grooming, and healthy play.     Cat - Update: we are completely medically cleared!!! Ringworm has healed, no more intestinal parasites and we are FIV/FELV negative. Woodley had his second vet appointment yesterday and got the all clear and his booster vaccines. Now we can really focus on finding him a loving home! majoras-skull-kid Follow
