Dax Shepard Had The Hiccups For 50 Hours Straight And We *Hiccup* Feel For Him

    Dax Shepard shared with the world that he was been suffering from non-stop hiccups. He thought it was normal for the first few minutes. But they didn't stop there.

    While he admitted the situation was "still funny" at the 24 hour mark, things took a turn after a second night of hiccuping all throughout his sleep.

    Dax included a couple of videos from the experience, where he spoke about how he was feeling...but he could barely get the words across. Only little words every now and then.

    "I think it's safe to say that it has escalated to this, which is a good deal of hiccup-induced puking," Dax admitted, while struggling to breath.

    "I came across some hiccups," Shepard said in the Instagram video above, that wife Kristen Bell. Shepard asked her if she heard him hiccuping throughout the night and she replied, "all night long."

    Thankfully, things finally started to ease up soon after and Dax has now been without hiccups for about a week.

    "What a ride!!! 50 hours of hiccups. Worry not. We have been hiccup free for five days today. For anyone who has permanent hiccups, god bless. I don’t know if I could have gone a week with those without intervening with a cycle of cyanide," - Dax

    Hiccups occur when the diaphragm contracts very quickly and the vocal cords slam shut. Due to this, the body starts to suck in air very quickly which leads to people making the "hiccup" sound.

    One way to stop regular hiccups is to go old school and just drink a glass of water without taking a breath or breathe into a paper bag for around 20 seconds
