If this isn't a glimpse into the dystopian future that lies ahead, then we don't know what is. Redditor u/artgarciasc took to the popular subreddit r/antiwork to ask people to share the worst bonuses they ever received at work; they said they were once given a coupon for one night free at an Airbnb rental.
The rest of the internet's answers to this question are awfully stupid. Gone are the days of big bonuses when you contribute to your company's success — instead, we have users saying they were gifted $25 grocery store gift cards, a mint taped to a Christmas card, and absolutely nothing despite record-breaking profits and all-time high stocks. Seriously, nobody wants a Disney+ subscription instead of a bonus.
The future of employment is on a pathway to bleak and bleary. For another example of how awful the workplace can get, check out the woman who got chewed out for taking a personal call about her dying cat. Only to instigate a mass resignation.
