Ahhh the ubiquitous 'humblebrag.' What exactly is this complete oxymoron (emphasis on the moron) we speak of? Well, according to Urban Dictionary a humblebrag is an ostensibly modest or self-deprecating statement whose actual purpose is to draw attention to something of which one is proud. Unfortunately, this deprecating self-promotion is a phenomenon that is plaguing the dating scene, especially when men have some sort of complex and need to make such statements in order to ease their staggering insecurities.
Whether it is 'complaining' about how much money they make, how desirable they are, or how intelligent they THINK they are, a good humblebrag never fails to make for a good story. The most hilarious thing about humblebrags is just how ignorant people sound when making them and how they often have the opposite effect.
