They are both overwhelmed in their own right. But he does not realize that tending to a newborn is way more than a normal house chore. Nursing can be excruciatingly painful. He goes on on about understanding that she needs this time to heal. But then hypocritically shames her for sleeping. OP is appreciated for being the financial provider. That is a given. But there is always more than money needed for raising a baby. Babies need round the clock attention. Keeping them alive is basically a sport. OP thinks things are difficult for him? He can sleep when he wants and only needs to worry about feeding himself.
