One of the best parts of a solid friendship is exchanging wild stories with one another. It's what spices up our lives, making them more lively and colorful than before. Sometimes we spend so much time with the same people that we end up repeating the same stories without even realizing we're doing it. The friend we're talking to will pretend that they've never heard the story before in order to allow us to relive the wildest times, or the friend will be brutally honest with us and tell us to STFU because they've heard this story a million times before. If the friend decides to go with the latter, we'll tell them anyway because we probably have more integral details to add to the plot that we didn't share last time. Twitter user @sahana_srini admitted that she used to forget that she'd already told the story before, but now she just prefaces it with "I think I've told you this before" and goes ahead and tells it anyways. People definitely relate to this friendship phenomenon.
Obviously, if we're repeating the story, it's a great story and they should simply listen again. Because if you're not the type of person to repeat stories, then the stories probably weren't that great, which is the real reason you're not repeating them. In short, you're not living if you don't repeat stories as we do.
At least Sahana tries to keep her friends on their toes when she's repeating a story. That's probably what makes her stories stand out the most from the pack of friendship offenders who repeat the same stories in the exact same wa.
