We have girl code, and men have bro code. These rules are simply the natural order of things, and it's known that they better never, ever be broken. One can never break the sacred rules of either, otherwise, they risk being ousted from the club forever. The reason these rules are in place is to ensure that we all have each other's backs because if we don't have each other's backs then who out there will? It's a big, bad world out there and we gotta look out for our own. Some girl code rules include not going after someone else's man, making sure all the girls get home some after a wild night out on the town, saving random girls from creepy men if they give us that look that means they need help STAT, refraining from sl*t-shaming women that are getting what's theirs, and generally not judging women for their life choices. Women have definitely broken the code throughout the course of history, and we've learned not to trust the types of women that don't adhere to the code. We're curious to hear what's going on with the bro code, and what happens to the bros who refuse to stick to it. In an AskMen post, Reddit men revealed the unwritten rules of bro code so we could get a deeper understanding of what's happening on the other side.
We're really to delve into what men are thinking and what set of rules drives them when they wake up in the morning. We're desperate for some knowledge regarding what the heck is going on in their heads, and why they do the things that they do. Perhaps if we gain deeper insight into the male psyche, we'll be able to understand them better and as a result, have a healthier relationship with them. The cool thing about Reddit is that there's so much information to read up about and that includes the rulebook that drives men, even though it might not be officially written anywhere.
This first one is so wholesome! If a dude's excited about something, he should be supported in his excitement, regardless of whether his bros feel the same way about the topic at hand. We know we would be mad if our girlfriends put us down for being passionate about something that we find exciting and they might not. Men aren't encouraged to show emotion as much as women are, so we would love to see bros spread some positivity by supporting their buddies. If we were all allowed to be passionate about stuff people generally deemed stupid, the world would be a much sillier, happier place. We give our seal of approval to this bro code rule.
