OP is going to be a first time father soon. He likes the name Juliet for a baby girl but his wife says she doesn't want any traditional girl or boys name she wants a gender neutral name in case their kids ever decide they want to transition. She is so adamant about picking a name that she, 'kind of threatened to not give him a choice' and will tell nurses and doctors beforehand to not give him baby's information or for the birth certificate. Now that is a little psychotic...They should be a united front. But OP feels it is ridiculous argument. He thinks a name shouldn't take away any rights or opinions of my baby girl. If they do transition and want to change their name than they can discuss that when it happens. He is asking the moral judges of Reddit for their help on this one.
Nobody is ever an AH for wanting to name their baby something... but this story goes deeper.
