Woman Pays Brother To Watch Her Dog: He Breaks Every Rule She Sets

If we've learned one thing here at I Can Has Cheezburger it's make sure you find a reputable dog sitter who respects your rules and doesn't put your dog in any kind of danger. For any reference needed about why that's so important, just take a look at the article we wrote a while back about the woman who left her dog with a sitter only for the dog sitter to break her rules and refuse to correct her behavior, forcing the dog owner to cut her vacation short and take the dog back. That sure was a drama festival! It's true that having a pet is not easy, and taking care of them isn't easy either, but when we hire a professional to take care of our pets and we pay them for their time, we expect them to for listen to our instructions. But pets can be get pretty complicated, and sometimes issues arise.

Today we have the story of a man who had the audacity to charge his sister for dog sitting, and then intentionally break all the rules that she had set up. He left the dog outside for two days straight, which led to the poor dog getting fleas, he didn't feed the dog his proper food and instead tossed him some pieces of chicken, you get the drift. And then when his sister came to pick up the dog and got upset, he said she owed him money for the time he watched the dog for.

    Hmm, this could really go either way if we're basing this exclusively on the title. For one thing, we totally believe in letting dogs and cats be happy and carefree, but that can mean very different things to different people. On the other hand, if the dog was really put in an unsafe situation, then the dog sitter is 100% the one in the wrong. Let's read on and find out exactly what happened:

    Hmm, the owner doesn't mention whether or not the dog has any health or behavioral issues, but it might be possible. Another point here is that the sister is entitled to spend however much time and money she wants on the dog, even if it does seem excessive to people who don't know the dog.

    Font - constantly makes excuses that she can't do this or that or this cause of the dog. For explain we signed up for a painting class. The class was from 3pm to 6pm. She didn't stay for the full class of she had to get home to her dog.

    Font - Anyway last weekend, she needed to out of town for work. Because it cost too much board him for two days, she asked if I would watch him and she would pay me monday. I said fine. The dog came with a long list of "instructions" which I thought was very pretentious.

    Font - The list went on. Again this a dog, not a baby. I put the dog in my back yard and pretty much forgot about him. I made sure he had plenty of food and water though. He mostly ran around, barked and dug a hole which I didn't mind. I even tossed him a couple bites of chicken which he loved.

    Font - Gallifrey685 YTA You left a dog out for two days and nights when he is crate trained. You fed the dog people food. You specifically did things that your sister ask you not to do, by giving you the instructions. You do not have the right to dictate how she treats her dog as her dog is not neglected or mistreated. If you didn't want to follow her rules, you shouldn't have accepted the job. The dog got fleas from your yard that she now has to treat everything to get rid of them.

    Font - StormyAurora go This. All of this. You said you forgot about him. You left him outside! We have coyotes and other predators, and the idea of leaving your dog out overnight is terrifying. What would have happened if he was attacked by an animal overnight while you smugly slept? All of the things on the list are pretty reasonable. A dog is a living creature. They are a companion.     Font - Dewhickey76 Exactly! That dog never would have ended up infested if OP hadn't left it in their yard all damn weekend. That isn't letting the "dog be a dog", that's f*cking neglect. Also, I am suspicious about OP claiming they made sure the dog was fed and watered given their claim they put the dog outside and pretty much forgot about it. I wouldn't be surprised if that chicken was given out of guilt for forgetting to feed the dog.
