Why is it that dogs are always sighing as if they have the hardest ruffest lives ever? They don't got no bills to pay! Who gave them the right to sign like that! Oh yes, it must be SO hard to be fed multiple times daily, walked around the neighborhood regularly, and take multiple naps daily. Sounds like a really ruff time. There are many different interpretations of this behavioral act that humans have come up with over the passing of time.
Today we came across a delightful Reddit thread featuring human dog-owning Redditors sharing their own personal interpretations of what the famous dog 'sigh' really means. For some, it's seen as a sign of great satisfaction and contentment. For others, it might mean that doggo is hongry and ready to be fed. From our own experience, we can agree with many of these human Redditors when we say that the famous dog 'sigh/yawn' is a general sign of contentment!
"My pup will get done playing then everytime she's abt to go to sleep she lets out this big old sigh or little huff as if she just got done working"
It ain't easy being a cute pup! All in a day's work.
"He'd just lie there huffing and puffing. Sure, life is so hard getting two walks and two meals a day and then having to sleep on my memory foam mattress with your jowls draped over my pillow, oh and muggins over here covering you in a blanket because you look cute all tucked in"
A very ruff life indeed.
