'The most American reaction': Woman goes viral for being told the Queen passed and panics thinking it's Dolly Parton, America's Queen

As an American, it's difficult to truly understand what British people are going through right now since the loss of their beloved Queen. There are many mixed reactions from around the world, but in England, many are mourning the loss of the head of their royal family. If you asked an average American what the duties were of the Queen, I bet 9 times out of 10 they would have no idea. However, if you asked the average American who Dolly Parton is, I bet 9 out of 10 times you'd get a correct and thorough answer. 

That should be a small indicator of who precious Dolly Parton is to Americans. So when this American girl was told simply that “the Queen” had died, she racked her brain thinking who the queen was and she came to a very obvious answer in her head: Dolly Parton. 

The now-viral video from TikToker @hannahgriffin13 shows her walking into a room to let her friend Page know that something bad had happened while she was taking a nap. She told her that the queen had died. Page slightly sat up and paused for a minute, trying to think who she meant by “the Queen.” Finally, a look in her eyes shows realization and also grief. She whispers melancholy, “Dolly.” 

The friend then squeals with laughter, just saying “what? No! The Queen of England!” Then the relief that washes over her friend Page is hilarious and very relatable to all Americans. “Oh! Like the literal Queen!” Obviously, it's still upsetting that a major figure in world history has passed, but Page just seems relieved that time didn't take America's Queen, Dolly Parton. 

Viewers have flooded the comment section saying that this is the “most American” reaction and also Dolly fans saying that they too agree that Dolly is the Queen and that they are also very relieved that she hasn't passed.
