We hope you're enjoying the last drops of the weekend before we have to jump back right back into the mundane reality of weekdays. If you haven't already experienced the Sunday Scaries, this is your wake-up call that the incredible weekend is almost over. Sorry for playing the role of the Grinch and bursting your bubble of happiness, but we're just being real with you. A whole week of responsibilities lay ahead of us, and we need to be able to accept it and roll with the punches that come our way this week. Apologies for the rude awakening, but if we're not real with you, who the heck will be?! Luckily, you're not alone in your adulting struggles. We're all trying to figure out to navigate this hectic new world of responsibilities, workloads, and bills to pay while attempting to manage our love lives and friendships at the same time. It feels like we never have time for ourselves anymore, but mastering adulting is all about finding the perfect balance. The cool thing is that you not only get to experience the triumphs and defeats of adulting with friends but also with random strangers on Twitter. The adults of Twitter always have loads to say about their adulting experiences.
This definitely falls into the worst part of adulting. Our friends are the ones that keep us sane, and as we get older, it becomes harder to see one another and have a proper hangout. Back in college, hanging out with friends was a piece of cake. We would just pop by our friends' dorms on the way back from class and chill by them for hours, talking about everything and nothing at the same time. As Andy on The Office once said, we wish there was a way to know that we were in the good old days before we left them.
If only we could unsubscribe to adulting as easily as we could unsubscribe to an email list we don't remember signing up to in the first place. Then again, we don't remember signing up to adulting in the first place. It was just something that kind of happened to us without our knowledge. We blink and suddenly we're grown up with no idea what we're doing. We guess our parents went through the same thing, alas, they didn't warn us what was to come. They probably just wanted us to enjoy our youth while we still could, and we'll do the same with the kids of the future.
