Overconfident People Attempt To Answer Seemingly Easy Fish Question

Can you name a fish that doesn't have an a in the name? It sounds super easy, and in theory it seems like the majority of native English speakers could masterfully complete this task. But apparently, once, again, the internet is full of surprised. So if you had assumed that, well, this kind of question would be easy for most people, then you would be quite mistaken. You see, there is no shortage of questionable behavior on the internet, especially when it comes to animals. There is also no shortage of cringey people who assume they know more about animals than others. Enter… a very basic question about fish names.

If you're wondering how this sort of debate even popped up in the first place, the answer is that all of this hullabaloo started out when a radio station posed the question on Facebook, "Name a fish that does not have the LETTER 'A' in it. I bet you can't ;)" and people quickly volunteered their answers with great confident, most of which were incredibly incorrect in a seemingly obvious way. Ah, if only everyone on the interwebz was as bright as they thought they were. Don't believe us? See, this seems easy, right? Like we don't want to brag, but we feel like we could do this if we sat down and thought about it for a few minutes. Right off the bat we're thinking that maybe a good fish name without a in it would be… hmm. actually this isn't that easy, maybe blue fin… wait a second no!

Let us know if you have one in mind in the comments section. Another fun game could be to name a dog breed that doesn't have an a in the name, other than pugs of course, and dobermans.
