This thread went viral on the internet today, featuring a sign posted in a workplace break room instructing its employees to ensure that they aren't having fun on the job. It's pretty safe to say that this boss is a real hoot at parties. Wouldn't you want your employees to enjoy their time at work so that they deliver better results?
The thread was posted to the r/antiwork subreddit by one of the employees, u/MrHatesThisWebsite. The thread was posted with the title "Came into work this morning to find this taped to the wall. Boss went on [a] tirade against me and co-worker yesterday for talking to each other with no customers in the store."
Commenters are flabbergasted by the tone-deaf tastelessness of the poster and others are outraged. One commenter suggested that the employees "Pull that down and throw it in the trash." while another remarked, "We expect you to be miserable here. But don't forget to smile!"
