Heartwarming Moments Of Pets Comforting Their Humans (Mostly Cats Being Awwdorable)

There are many, many perks to having pets. They're a companion - someone you can spend time with when no one else is there. They're entertaining - pets will always be up to something, scheming, running around, sniffing things to try to understand the human world better. They are super funny - your pet will make you laugh. And one of the most obvious, yet one of the most often forgotten things we love the most about having a pet is having someone at home to love and someone who loves us back.

This week, we have decided that we are in need of some positivity and wholesomeness. So, for our challenge, we asked you guys to tell us about the most heartwarming moments you have had with your pets. We asked you to share stories about your pets comforting you, about your pets showing you affection - the kinds of posts that remind us and everyone else why everyone should adopt an animal.

This one is to remind everyone that cats are perfectly aware of your emotions. It's true that some of them are not the most outwardly affectionate, but when you need them, they will know it, and they will do what they can. Maybe what they can is cuddling you or maybe it's sitting on a separate couch in the same room with you. Cats show affection a bit differently sometimes.

And dogs… well, dogs are angels, that is known. With dogs, for the most part, the affection and concern that they feel for you is pretty heckin' obvious. We need to remember that too- to not take it for granted. Their love is special and beautiful, and we should remember to be thankful.
