'The enemy of my enemy is my friend': Furry Frenemies Turned Besties After Bonding Over Mutual Contempt for Chipmunk

We all know cats can be quite territorial, but it's always funny to see a cat become protective of a space that isn't his!
@maria_hope17 uploaded a few videos on TikTok, documenting Sammy, a new furry (ginger) visitor that her parents had put under her care for a couple of weeks, and how he got along with her own resident cat Joe, when put in the same space.
Sammy was acting like quite the little Grinch and it seemed like there was no hope for Joe and him to get along!

Take A First Look At The Hangry Duo

In the initial stages, there was much tussling and pawing around! 
Sammy's little teeth bared and Joe arched his back, his tail sticking up high in the air!
Whether they met up in bathrooms or upon folded laundry, the reactions were always the same.
They gave ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ a good run for their money!
Funnily enough, a small chipmunk came to the rescue.
It seems that Sammy and Joe have found common ground, as they bond over the bedazzling sight of a cute chipmunk on the deck, and @maria_hope17 has it all on camera.

Hangry Cats Turned Besties

After getting so much love and laughter from the internet, Maria took it upon herself to upload even more cute content where you can clearly see that it took some time for Sammy and Joe to get along! 
It looks like they couldn't help their curiosity about one another, but were a bit hesitant to go all in.
Some commenters mentioned that the word ‘besties’ might have been a stretch, but you can have a look at the video and decide for yourself.

More Furry Content Between the Cute Frenemies 

Sammy and Joe seem to be getting closer, as they cuddle up (separately, but still!) on the bed together, or watch the gorgeous world outside from a big window overlooking a lot of tall trees and green grass.
We even see Sammy sprinting across the room as Joe sits comfortably in a big blue armchair and watches him go!

Getting Along From Afar

As Queen's ‘You’re My Best Friend' plays in the background, Joe and Sammy seem to be intrigued at something (or… someone?) as they stare out the big glass doors.
Yep, another ginger cat!
The camera zooms in and captures his big eyes and very catlike ‘I’m unaffected' stare (You know the one).
We wonder how this kitty is gonna get along with these two cute fur balls, but we'll have to wait and keep an eye out for more updates from Maria!
