Affairs are always messy. We rarely hear of someone who got caught having an affair and got off scot-free. After all, cheaters are making a conscious decision to destroy their relationship with their significant other forever, whether or not their S/O becomes aware of the cheating or not. One of the reasons people cheat is because they feel that something isn't right for them in the current relationship, so if they decide to go ahead and cheat, they're officially moving forward with someone else and going past the point of no return instead of trying to fix their relationship. The true point of no return is if the affair results in an unwanted pregnancy.
In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told us about how her ex had a child with another woman as a result of his infidelity. OP shares a son with her ex, and their son has become friendly the ex's new son over the years. OP has no problem with the two of the kids hanging out, but recently, her ex overstepped boundaries when it comes to his own son. OP was planning on going on a trip to Disney with her own son, and word got back to her ex that she was going to Disney without bringing his son along. He called her asking when he should drop his son off for the trip, and she told him that she never had any intentions of bringing his son because it's not her kid and she wanted to spend quality time with her own son. Her delusional ex started accusing her of favoring her own son after the son he had with another woman. Obviously she likes her own son better than a random kid that she has nothing to do with, and we think that she's completely in the right here for not feeling the need to include her ex's son in her own plans. Her ex didn't even offer to pay the expenses if his son were to come along! Looks like OP's ex was expecting a free ride to Disney for his kid, but that's just not how the world works, buddy. He even tried to manipulate OP's son into talking to OP about letting his own son come on the trip. He literally sounds like the ex from hell that OP will never be able to get rid of. Scroll down for all the crazy details behind this ex.
We love Disney, and we're also offended we didn't receive an invite.
We're starting this one strong with an affair! Just another day in the AITA subreddit.
