Woman Creates Tunnel for Her Guinea Pigs to Hangout with Her Pet Birds, Adorable Odd-Couple Friendship Blossoms

If you did not already know, the internet is the most beautiful place for animal content. You can find the most adorable videos of all kinds of animal shenanigans. Some of our favorite ones are the odd couples. A wiener dog who is BFFs with a lion; an alligator besties with a parrot; or, in this case, a group of floofy guinea pigs friends with a group of budgie parakeets. The floof to feather ratio is absolutely superb. This TikToker @fluff_potatoes8 shares video content of the many animals she tends to. She's obviously an animal lover and all of her pets seem very happy.

She recently went viral for sharing a video of a project she did between her lot of guinea pigs and budgie/parakeet birds. The habitat for these two sweet creatures happened to be next to each other, so she decided to create a tunnel from the guinea pig enclosure that lets out to the floor of the bird habitat. What happened next was so wholesome and sweet, it's no surprise they went viral.

The guinea pigs instantly scurried over to the bird cage. There, they hang out on the ground and snack on the little seeds and greens sprawled throughout. Instead of the tiny birds fearing these floofy squeaky creatures, they embraced their difference and now are all the best of friends. Usually you would see birds hanging up high in their enclosure on perches etc. But here, you see the birds waddling on the ground to hang out with the guinea pig friends.

The odd coupled friendship is surprising because it's not something you commonly see, however, it's not shocking. The two pets are typically known for being pretty docile and are both herbivores, so of course they had a chance to get along. Them becoming the best of BFFs was quiet the surprise and you can even find the birds riding their furry companions on the ground.
