'But mom, she stayed an extra 30-minutes:' Disney princess party entertainer is pleasantly surprised when Gen-Z teen schools mom on tipping

Carolyn Vasko is an actress who works as a party entertainer. For these parties she usually dresses up as some sort of Disney character like Elsa from Frozen or Ariel from The Little Mermaid and plays games, does face-painting, and takes photos with the party-goers. She recently had a horrible experience with a Karen client not than a week ago. She was late to a party she was hired for because she was having a major costume malfunction. When she got there, the Karen client was horrible to her and yelled at her as if she were a child in trouble. She left that part crying. 

Though that experience might have made her loose a little faith in humanity, she recently had another experience with a much pleasanter ending all due to one kind Gen-Z client. This time, everything went way smoother than she expected. She was nervous to do a teenager party, because she is used to doing children's parties. However, this party was completely planned by the Gen-Z birthday girl who was turning 14—even booked by her. When she attended the party all of the teenagers were so kind to her and she had such a great time, that she stayed an extra 30-minutes at the party to make sure everybody got their face-painted, photos, etc. 

When she left, the mother paid her fee and then did the usual tip, but before she could leave, the birthday girl came running down. She had her own money she wanted to give Vasko as extra tip since she stayed 30-minutes longer than she was booked for. Vasko was so touched by the generous and mature gesture, she was almost in shock. 

She tried to convince the girl to keep her money, that she stayed extra because she was having such a lovely time. But the girl was insistent and she eventually convinced her to only give her half of what she wanted and for the girl to keep the other half and spend it on something that makes her happy.

Vasko posted the experience to TikTok because she was just so touched by this Gen-Z teenager. She always says her job is to spread happiness and she prides herself in that. This teenager was able to appreciate that not only by being respectful and enjoying the time she had with her at the party, but also by at least attempting to compensate Vasko for the extra time she gave her. If only more people were like this, greed wouldn't be so rampant in the world.
