Being a cat person or a dog person is something entirely relative in our opinion. Sometimes, all you need is to meet the right cat, and then, before you know it, that cat will have wormed its way into your heart. It happens time and time again - we see people who just cannot help but fall in love with kitties. Like that story of the kitten who decided it was done with outdoor life and sat on the driveway of a home until she got adopted, or the story the teeny weeny abandoned kitten who blocked a man's car and asked him for help, and of course, he simply had to help, or the story of the previously abused kitten who chose new humans, ran into their home, and got adopted.
Sometimes, we simply cannot help it. We fall in love with them without even noticing. And that's the story here. This person claims to be a dog person, and yet…
"This was her when we found her last winter. Very small, skinny, friendly and social. The big male in the barn was being a butt to her and we think he scared off the mother as we waited to see if she showed up. Never did see any sign of her or other kittens."
"We decided to take her in to at least get her through the winter. We planned to make her another barn cat and set her up with the vet to get the needed shots and procedures done including a future appointment to get her fixed."
"This was about 3 days later after the vets cleaned her up and she had been getting a steady diet."
"Such a cutie"
"New tree"
"She loves to play"
"And bite..."
"Of course she loves her boxes..."
"Who doesn't love head scritches"
"As she continued to grow and improve, she started to grown on us...but even more with me. I began to think about having an indoor cat."
"She quickly claimed my fiancees chair as her own"
"About 3 or 4 weeks after bringing her in we noticed she started spraying...EVERYTHING. it was a tough few weeks until the vet appointment to get her spayed. Daily clean ups and doing what we can to discourage the action."
"Gosh darn it she is lucky she is so cute"
"The spraying stopped almost immediately after the spay. And we decided she would stay inside with us. We think our preference of dogs may have rubbed off on Cortana. She plays fetch, rough houses with us, plays in water, and comes to us when called."
"She has also put on some weight very quickly. She has since gone on a diet."
"She is judging me as I stuff my face like a dumpster but control her diet 'for her health'"
"Cortana is now our indoor cat, our dog in striped cat pajamas or more commonly referred to as, Loaf. She is here to stay and while I still identify as a "dog person" I frigging love this cat."
