There's been an epidemic sweeping the programming memes community. One meme has positively overtaken r/ProgrammerHumor to the point that it's nearly unusable. I'm, of course, talking about, "what's stopping you from coding like this?" Here's the premise of the meme: people share various strange and silly places that someone could code, accompanied by the caption, "what's stopping you from coding like this." What's stopping you from coding in the Walmart parking lot? What's stopping you from coding under the sea? What's stopping you from coding in a fairy portal? You get the gist. What started as a goofy joke about how you could hypothetically code anywhere has become an absolute monopoly. It seems like every other meme is a "what's stopping you from coding like this" meme, and it's getting exhausting.
I hope this list of coding memes is a refuge for those who are sick and tired of this meme taking over their lives.
