Awkward Couple Has an Intentionally Cringeworthy Engagement Photoshoot, Creating a Viral Album of Epic Proportions

Everyone tries to be original for their wedding day. Ironically, in doing so, most couples end up being exactly like everybody else. The reason for that is because the underlying desire is the same for every wedding. Sure, everyone wants to be original, but what trumps originality is the ~aesthetic~. People want their wedding to be beautiful, classy, romantic, and timeless. Therefore, making them all the same. 

One American couple decided to throw all that hogwash out the window. Their desire to be truly original was stronger than the need for beauty and grace. So they staged an intentionally awkward engagement photoshoot to announce their love and union to their friends and family. The results are breathtaking. 

For starters, this couple decided to wear unmatching denim outfits-- and I mean full denim, top and bottom. A so called “Canadian tuxedo” if you will. 

Not only that, but they decided to take all of their photos in a park. It was golden hour so the lighting was beautiful, but some of the posing and positioning was downright cringeworthy. If you saw this couple taking pictures in a park like this, it might be time to grab your kid and head out. 

That mustache should be illegal. 

What makes this shoot extra great is that the couple had no intention of trying to look stereotypically cool. Which, at the end of the day, makes them potentially the coolest engaged couple. 

People in the comment section were mocking their style choice and making fun of them a little bit, but all in all, most people seemed to commend the bold decision to be different and be oddly quirky with your partner. I certainly prefer to look at a collection of silly candid photos over a stiff, black and white session. 

These two are honestly just having a good time together and that's what makes it great. Isn't that the point of getting married anyways? To share your love and your lives together. Sure, yeah, okay the semi-formal and the formal photos are interesting too, but THIS is real life. 

This is reality. This is what your lives are going to look like together-- let's be honest. Besides, engagement shoots are meant to be fun and exciting. 

And these two look like they're having the best, most wonderful time together. All their weirdness is wrapped up in an awkward and cool bow. Not cool like cool cool, but cool like strange. And we love that about them.
