Funniest Ratings of Famous Art History Cats From the Musée D’Orsay

Cats in art history are notorious for being horrible portrayed. I mean, seriously, I don't think any of these artists had actually ever seen a cat before. They just paint them as either blurry smudges of oil or make them every sinister looking. Were cats seriously that demonic looking back in the day? Have the really truly evolved THAT much to reach the adorable floofy buddies we see and love in the 21st century? It's just hard to believe someone who knows what a cat looks like and then paints whatever those things are below and thinks, “Yep. NAILED IT. That definitely looks just like a cat.”

Cath Kastner recently visited the Musée d'Orsay and had to give the bad boys a proper rating. These paintings are enormously famous, to say the least. And yet, the cats portrayed in them look like someone fresh out of the womb painted them… Let's just say, many had to be rated on character and not so much life-like appearances.
