We. love. our. cats. A lot. Some people even say that we perhaps love them too much, that we spend too much money on them and that we prioritize them over things that don't make sense. But they make sense to us. Our cats are part of our family. They're our best friends. They love us (somewhat) unconditionally, and we love them entirely unconditionally.
And yes, that does mean that, a lot of times, we do make our cats our first priority. And we're not the only ones. There was a woman who chose her cat over her boyfriend that we read about a while ago. There was a boyfriend who took his cat's side when he found out his GF was mistreating it. There is even a woman who sleeps in a separate room from her BF so that she could cuddle her cat in peace. And then, there's this person who ended a really good date because the person she was sitting in front of said: "I hate cats."
We have actually wondered in the past, considering the fact that we own cats, what we would do if our significant other told us that they hate cats. According to one of our granddads, the only correct thing to do would be to get rid of the cat, but… knowing ourselves, the chances are higher that we would do this instead. Priorities.
We hope so as well. We hope that you both end up with the girlfriends and pets of your choosing. And we also hope - because it's only morally correct - that Kelsey has discovered that cats are not too bad and that they are, in fact, purrfect.
