Greetings, ICanHasers, and happy Sunday! We hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and spending as much time as possible with their beloved pets. In true Sunday nature, we're here to help you guys end the weekend on a good note by taking part in some feline appreciation. Every week, we shine the light on a particular cat breed and/or coloration in order to celebrate all the felines in the world. We talked about snow white cats, the Burmese, and even about Torties with a tortitude. Welp, today it's finally time for the Nebelung.
The Nebelung is a relatively new cat breed that was developed in the United States in the 1980's. Their name comes from the German word 'Nebel' which means fog. As you will see, Nebelung cats all share a similar grey color coat. Due to their long fur, they require lots of grooming and attention. This is definitely a more high-maintenance cat.
As you'll notice in many of these photos, the cats are laying on their backs with their bellies pointing up. As you know, this means that the cat trusts you. The Nebelung breed is friendly, affectionate, and loyal. But only to the people they know.
"Heyo there, hooman. Since you named me Tortellini, that ultimately means I get to live in the kitchen. Everything here belongs to me and you shall be my servant. How does that sound? Great, looks like we have a deal"
