There's no denying it: it's pretty damn easy - and normal - to feel bummed when the going gets tough. Over the past few years (ya know, since the pandemic), we've been looking for the proverbial light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. And each time we catch a promising glimpse of anything optimistic on the horizon, it feels as though it's canceled out by yet another terrible world event or a personal tragedy. The number of people I love who have died recently, or who are struggling, is a lot higher than I'd like. At some point, we (as individuals) need to stop hoping that something good will happen and instead try to create that positivity in the present. One way of doing this is by making a list of things you're grateful for, indulging in some self-care, or by doing something fun that reminds you of who you are deep inside. Another way to carve out a happy, positive moment is by scrolling through some wholesome memes. They're a crucialreminder of the warm and fuzzy moments we have had in the past, or can even enjoy right now. At the end of the day, it really is the little things that keep us going.
