Listen, life is all about making mistakes and learning from them. It's all about overcoming the hurdles that are thrown at us and doing it with grace. But sometimes, life can get so chaotic, so unpredictable, and do a complete 180 leaving us stunned and unable to speak. Like, for example, when you adopt a cat thinking it's a male. You give him a boy's name, you go on days, maybe even weeks thinking he is a he. And then, one magical day, you go to the vet, and little did you know, he is actually a she. Sound familiar? As much as we hate to admit it ourselves, this has happened a few times over the years. But we choose to think of it as a blessing in disguise, rather than a mistake.
And apparently, so do so many other cat enthusiasts. We recently stumbled upon a Twitter thread where people shared photos of their cats and the stories of how she became a he or vice versa. We have to clarify that no gender surgeries were made nor were any pets harmed. Just a little mishap. With that being said, we hope you enjoy your scrolling!
""All orange cats are boys" until they aren't. Welcome to the club! This is my Addie. I had to say goodbye to her yesterday morning, but this sweet, talkative girl had a good life of 18 wonderful years (17 with me)."
We're so sorry for your loss. We can only imagine how much happiness and light she brought into your home. Now she's guarding you from up high <3
"This is Jack. When I rescued Jack and raced her to the emergency vet they asked a for a name. I didn't know her gender and the first thing that came to mind was Jack. Turns out she was a girl. Her name is still Jack."
First of all, thank you for being such a kind and amazing hooman being! Second of all, who says girls can't be named Jack?
